KUIU's prices still follow the plan Jason Hairston started it with in 2011: sell direct to hunters and skip the retail markup. The first products came out of sheep hunting, where every ounce counts, and the line has since spread to elk, whitetail, bear and waterfowl gear. For packs that means two very different groups under one name, a modular frame system for the mountains and a set of quiet day packs for treestands and blinds.
The ICON 6 6000 and Women's ICON 6 6000, both $699, are the mountain end. The ICON 6 frame is a 3D corrugated carbon-fiber design in Regular (24.5 in, for users 5 ft 2 in to 5 ft 9 in) and Tall (26.5 in, for 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft 6 in), and any ICON 6 bag swaps onto it, so a second bag can be bought alone. The women's version puts a women's harness and belt on the Regular frame. The rest of the line is day packs. The Encounter Divide 2800 at $299 and Evolution 1800 at $199 use the soft-brushed Encounter fabric for stand and saddle hunting, with the Divide pocket on the 2800 sized for a hang-on stand and climbing sticks. The Venture Divide 2000 at $239 carries a rifle or a tripod with the optic attached, the Ranger 2200 at $229 is the lightest framed day pack, and the Divide 1200 at $139 is a small scouting pack.
Owners consistently praise the Encounter fabric for staying quiet against bark and brush, and just as consistently complain that the zippers on the Encounter Divide and Evolution are louder than the fabric around them. Rain covers are sold separately across the day packs, which owners of the $239 Venture Divide call out. ICON 6 owners report that Kuiu frames run short, so hunters near 5 ft 9 in often size up to Tall.
Read the warranty closely: Kuiu covers defects for the practical lifespan of the product, not a lifetime, for the original purchaser with proof of purchase, and allows one repair or replacement per purchase. Existing Kuiu owners should also know the ICON 6 is not compatible with bags from the older Pro and Pro LT systems, so moving to it means starting again.

The ICON 6 6000 is Kuiu's 2025 ground-up replacement for the Pro 6000, pairing a 98-liter expedition bag with a patent-pending 3D corrugated thermoplastic carbon frame that yields under stress instead of shattering. The $699 full kit ships with the frame, suspension, two hip belts, a load sling, a rifle quick release and a gear loop strap, and at 6 lb 2.4 oz it remains one of the lightest week-long backcountry haulers sold.

Do older Kuiu Pro bags fit the ICON 6 frame?▾
No. Kuiu says the ICON 6 frame works with every ICON 6 bag but is not compatible with prior-generation bags, so owners of Pro and Pro LT bags have to buy a new bag as well as the frame.
