Every pack Seek Outside sells is sewn in Grand Junction, Colorado, where the company has worked since 2009 alongside its tents and stoves. The Goshawk 4800 2.0 is built to order there. The hunting packs share one idea: an aluminum external frame light enough to compete with internal-frame packs, built for loads most of them cannot take.
Four of its six packs ride on the patented Revolution frame, which adjusts in the field to 24, 26 or 28 inches and takes hipbelts from 27 to 48 inches. How the bag meets the frame is what separates them. The Goshawk 4800 2.0 at $625 is the breakaway design: the bag detaches so meat rides on a shelf between bag and frame. The Divide 4800 2.0 at $505 is the crossover version used for hunting, packrafting and heavy backpacking. The Unaweep 6300 at $621 is the integrated hauler, with a 103 L bag sewn to the frame and no shelf, so quarters go inside. The Gila 3500 2.0 at $540 is the smaller step between those and the Flight 3, which at $359 skips the Revolution frame for a 7075 aluminum frame in 22-inch or 25-inch heights. These packs carry more than their weight implies, by owners' account. One Unaweep owner describes it as great to 80 lb, just okay from 80 to 100 lb, and a problem past 120 lb, with the hipbelt as the weak point. Goshawk owners say the belt needs Seek Outside's lumbar pad, sold separately, once loads pass about 60 lb, and that the 4800 bag packs closer to a week's volume than its label suggests. The Divide has no hydration sleeve or port.
Getting the frame to sit right is the risk. Owners describe it as hit or miss rather than universal: hunters with a pronounced lumbar curve report the frame leaning off their back, and Gila owners report real effort dialing in the harness. A lifetime guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner, excluding neglect, misuse and modifications, and returns are accepted only on unused, like-new items within 30 days, so load the pack indoors first.

Do Seek Outside packs need a rain cover?▾
Usually not. Seek Outside says its UltraGrid and Ultra 200X fabrics are waterproof enough to skip a separate cover, and owners agree, but the seams are sewn rather than taped, so owners run a liner or dry bags in sustained rain.
Can I return a Seek Outside pack if it does not fit?▾
