Kuiu Ranger 2200
One of Kuiu's lightest internal-frame hunting day packs, pairing a 36 L (2200 cu in) bag with a high-strength aluminum tubing perimeter frame at just under 3 lb. A horseshoe-zip main compartment, dual-density air-mesh suspension, and cam-lock daisy-chain compression straps make it the brand's do-everything day pack, offered in two harness sizes.

Specifications
What do these specs mean? →Features
Pros
- ✓Exceptional weight-to-support ratio - a true aluminum tubular perimeter frame in a pack under 3 lb, for less than a Stone Glacier Avail 2200, which weighs about the same (3 lb 0.8 oz) at $320
- ✓Frame carries real weight for a day pack - a kuiu.com reviewer training with it reports the shoulder straps stay comfortable at 50 lb
- ✓Sold in two harness sizes (M and L) rather than one-size-fits-all - unusual for day packs in this class
- ✓Raised, ported dual-density air-mesh back panel and straps breathe well on warm-season hunts
- ✓Cam-lock daisy-chain compression straps secure a bow, rifle, or shed antlers without extra accessories
- ✓Horseshoe-zip main compartment opens wide for bulky gear instead of top-loading
- ✓Removable padded waist belt - run it loaded for heavy days or strip it for a streamlined truck-to-stand pack
- ✓Premium materials throughout (330D HT CORDURA, YKK zips, Duraflex hardware) with a 4.8/5 average over 250 kuiu.com reviews; a June 2026 precision-rifle.com.au roundup calls it 'one of the easiest recommendations in the whole lineup'
Cons
- ✗Sparse internal small-item organization - a detailed owner review dings the lack of internal pockets for fire starters, snacks, and other pocket litter
- ✗Hip-belt straps run very long on slim waists, leaving lots of webbing to manage (same review, 32 in waist)
- ✗Side zippered pocket is smaller than owners expect
- ✗No hipbelt pockets for rangefinder or snacks
- ✗Rain cover not included - Kuiu sells the Pack Rain Cover S separately
- ✗No meat shelf or load-shelf; a packout means going back for a frame pack, where Exo and Stone Glacier day bags can share their haul-rated frames
- ✗Two fixed harness sizes but no true torso-length adjustment within each size
- ✗Released in 2025, so long-term durability feedback and forum coverage are still thin compared to the Divide series
